Krystal D. Mize was the top graduating senior and 2003 recipient of the Threlkeld Prize for Excellence at University of Southern Colorado. Overcoming adversity in the face of overwhelming obstacles, she went on to become the first in her family to earn a doctoral degree. Krystal studied evolutionary psychology and was awarded a PhD in Experimental Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2008. She later taught and served as the Undergraduate Coordinator for their Psychology and Neuroscience Department. She has shared her love of learning from behind the podium, in her mentoring relationships and through her research. Dr. Mize maintains Affiliate Status at FAU.
